Neoprene (technical name Policloroprene) is a good quality material suitable for a wide range of applications, thanks to the combination of its physical and chemical properties. It boosts high elasticity and excellent compression deflection properties, high tensile strength and excellent resistant to, heat, aging, outside weather. It has very good fire resistant properties and it performs very well when in contact with several chemical substances, oils, hydrocarbons, solvents. It can be used as electric insulator. It is not suitable for use with some mineral acids and aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Neoprene fields of application
Neoprene is widely used in industries such as chemicals, automotive, boating, in the production of wetsuits, seals, joints, gaskets, protective sheetings, weatherstrips, in the HVAC sector and as medical supports.
