Closed cell NBR foam
The main feature of nitrile sponge rubber NBR is its high resistance to several chemical agents, such as animal and vegetable oils, grease, solvents and aliphatic hydrocarbons, LNG and LPG gases, water and saline solutions. It also has good mechanical properties, aging and UV rays resistance and it can be used as a thermal insulator. It withstands low temperatures quite well but not high temperatures or flames.
NBR fields of applications
Tubes, profiles and NBR gaskets are used mainly in industrials and automotive sectors, both for powertrains and braking systems, or as gear protections, but also in the petrochemical sector, ink printing or wherever protection from oils and grease is needed.
